IRAQI CONTROL: Iraqi policemen paraded Wednesday during a ceremonial transfer of security duties to Iraqi forces in Diwaniya, a city south of Baghdad.

American-led forces handed over control of the Qadisiyah province to the Iraqi government, reflecting the improvement in security across the country. Iraqi leaders are now seeking a timeline from the U.S. for the withdrawal of American forces
