Wanna have that MODEL like photo shoot..!

A photo shoot is one of the most rewarding and exciting experience. Be it professional or amateur still one would certainly like to look the best! Especially with over priced studios promising the moon & the stars… with few guidance any one should be able to get that look and feel on a shot.
Yes, as most might agree you could use the relevant software to do the ‘touch-up’. But before any of the editing, you must have the basics done perfectly. So that one need not work too long and rely too much on these software.
These are some tips that I find to be very rewarding. To my delight these are rather simple and down to earth tips!
First we look at the list of Do’s and Don’t’s before a photo shoot:
Tip #1: Avoid alcohol
This will dehydrates your body & reflects badly on you face. Might even emphasis strongly on your wrinkles. Avoid alcohol at least 24 hours before the photo shoot. If your body reacts badly to the alcohol, then you should avoid 48 hours before the shoot.
Tip #2: Avoid caffeine
For the same reason stated for alcohol. It’s a good idea to be caffeine free for about 24 hours before the photo shoot.
Tip #3: Avoid red meat & spicy food
This might lead towards skin swelling and the skin surface to be too oily. In some case it might give a bloated belly. Especially if you want to reveal your torso in the photos I’m sure you don’t want it to look as if you've just swallowed a hippo!!
Tip #4: Anti- perspiration
Wash your face constantly. Keep it free from sweat beats forming & drying out on your face. Avoid greasy face creams and stay clear from dusty environment. These may lead to skin peeling specially on your face- which in turn may not hold the make-up well.
Tip #5: Facial hair
Remove any facial hair that you don’t want to be reflected on the photos. Wax it or have a clean shave.
If you are waxing (gals), please do it at least 24 hours before. Apply appropriate face lotion after that to keep the skin from drying. If you opt for shaving (guys) do it at least 4-5 hours (if you have a quick growth) or 7-8 hours before the photo shoot. Apply appropriate after-shave lotion.
Avoid using strong lotions on your skin that might leave a red patch on the face.
Tip #6: Trim your mustache or beard
Clean shave might be a good idea if it for model shoot but if you want to project that rough-look please trim.
Tip #7: Drink lots of fluids
Drink lots of water or fresh fruit juice of your choice. This’ll keep your skin clean and give a boost of energy that’ll make your smile look very radiant and charming! What more do you want than a charming smile to impress or captivate someone’s attention.
Tip #9: Stretches & Push- ups
Do a quick routine of stretches or push ups to ‘pump up’ your body. This will give a quick boost to your muscles. If you want them to look rather impressive, apply body lotion after a refreshing shower. That’ll give a glow to your muscles. Your close up shots will look awesome.
Tip #10: Style your hair
Get a hair cut that suits your face’s profile. Trim it if you need to. Set the hair after the shower using the hair product that suits your hair’s texture. Don’t over do it. Too much of hair gel might reflect to the flash of the camera.
Next (post) we’ll look into the choice of make up for men & women!!!
