An evacuated home is reflected in the flooded Longa river in Esperantina, in the northeastern Brazilian state of Piaui May 7, 2009. According to Brazilian Civil Defense, floods and mudslides from months of heavy rains in northern Brazil have driven more than 214,000 from their homes and killed at least 33 people.
