Eurocopter's X3 high-speed hybrid helicopter demonstrator performs, seen in this September 6, 2010 file photo and released September 27, 2010 by Eurocopter, during a test flight at the Istres flight center. The X3 prototype, which combines forward-facing propeller engines astride two short aircraft wings with overhead rotor blades, was unveiled at the European company's factory in southern France following months of secrecy about the project.
