One would think sports photography is easy. Buildings don't move, people hold still, but in sports, you have constant action. Telephoto lenses may get you closer to the action, but anticipating the action is an art!

I've got to go on! *LOL* That shot of the boat was HARD. You have the white of the boat and then the white of the splash--it would be really difficult to get the exposure right. You can bracket still life, but with action, you either get it or lose it.

Speed is of the essence and just as you say and so rightly point out, that shot is very hard to achieve, skill and lightning reflexes makes this a great award win.
