Particles of Martian dust imaged by NASA's Phoenix Lander's Atomic Force Microscope in 3D and seen at 200x magnification are shown in this image released by NASA to Reuters August 14, 2008. Red areas represent the highest areas, and purple areas the lowest. The particles measure one micrometer, or one millionth of a meter across and are highest magnification ever seen from another world.
