Sao Paulo's growth spans everything from shoes and aerospace to technology, and the city also dominates Brazil's growing energy sector, both renewable and traditional. BP, for example, has invested $560 million dollars in the country's ethanol industry. And as Brazil's largest city gets ready to host the World Cup in 2014, it should get a large chunk of an estimated $43 billion the country is spending on infrastructure projects, such as building new roads, renovating stadiums, and expanding energy and telecommunications sectors.
