Inside a hangar at New York's John F. Kennedy airport are destroyed fire trucks, pieces of steel, torn clothing, and other relics from the destruction of the World Trade Center.

A program operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, The World Trade Center steel program is selecting portions of recovered steel from the center and donating it to cities, towns, firehouses and museums around the U.S. and the world who request it for use in 911 memorial sites in time for the 10 year anniversary of the 2001 attacks.
