Now THAT's a PHOTO

December 25th 2008 19:47
photo exotic location

A man is reflected in a pool of melted snow as he walks with his pony after fresh snowfall in Solang Nallah, about 15 km (9 miles) from the northern Indian hill town of Manali December 23, 2008.

Remember my post on reflections in photography? Now, this is a very good one, and it satisfies the rule of thirds well, too, and notice how the picture is not quite dead centre it's dispaced a little vertically up, which does add to the interest. Nearly every third and there are nine of them has some special feature and yet it almost defies the rule of thirds, which good photos can do, by being almost central.

Of course not all of us can ever get to such exotic locations but even the local park can do it for you.
