You should find this webpage which I've linked at the top very interesting, if a little overwhelming.

But as the icing on the cake I've selected his images to appear here. It's a good experience and interesting to see and should give you inspiration and some new ideas.

There's so much that goes into a good photograph--texture, knowing what the various lenses do, perspective, color, shape--he managed to put them all together--not just once to get a lucky shot--but time and time again.!
