The World Heritage-listed Kinderdijk windmills are illuminated by LED lights, at the Kinderdijk September 7, 2009. The wind mills are lit up this year to mark the first time energy-efficient LED lighting has been used.

we waste energy to congratulate ourselves on wasting less energy. Well at least we got a photo of a wicked looking windmill out of it.

Don't worry, Katyzzz. Unlike the fluorescent tubes, the LED lights are having lifespan up to 100,000 hours, which is long lasting more than 11 years! In this case, it's hundred times better than the old-fashioned lamps.
