Artists paint their faces and masks as they get ready for another performance evening at the Shanghai Nightmare haunted house in Shanghai October 24, 2009. Shanghai Nightmare, a newly opened haunted house and the first of its kind in mainland China located in a 107-year-old building, is a very popular activity for young locals with many characters as well as a "beheading room", a long pathway of laser-lit mirrors, a theatre full of stiff bodies and a monster bar amongst other surprises.
