Animals

Two-day-old Bactrian camel (Camelus ferus bactrianus) 'G' lies in front of its mother "Jasmina" at an enclosure at Knies Kinderzoo in the town of Rapperswil east of Zurich, Switzerland, June 26, 2007.

It almost hurt to make my selection to-day, I chose it because of new life and the skill of the photographer in capturing the natural framing of the mother's head, neck and legs around the baby.

For other considerations:

2 for the simplicity of black and white, it really holds your attention as you need to look at it a bit longer than a coloured image and observe its surroundings.

3 this natural beauty defies photography, it's best to capture it as soon as you can

4. the exquisite beauty we all recognize.

5. beautiful markings

6. Humour, food attracts all of us and the bear, with its tongue just out is focused on the gustatory delight

7. good perspective and that tongue just says it all about cows

8. amazing creature

9. lens tricks

10. the photo split, bars and eyes

11. good perspective and humour

12. simply marvellous, great atmosphere

13. a natural frame "through things"

14. excellent rule of thirds

15, wouldn't you like to join him and give him a great big cuddle

16. crafty little critter, a bit like us, you know

18. King of the jungle, without a doubt.

19. irony and amusement and great photography

20. magnificent and skilled

21. That framing , through bars, again. Wonderful creature

22. I just love them both, great perspective

23. school's in, symmetry and line

24. the eyes have it

25. a precious baby, framed naturally by shooting through the rocks

26. God bless the darling little creature

27. Let's preserve them, please

28. Wonderfully tranquil and well portrayed, but I missed their glorious flamingo colour, but this is a meaningful photo

It took me a long time, I do hope you appreciate what I have had to say.

In view of some of the shadows and reflections we've been seeing lately, I thought it would be a good idea to link to a previous post which may give you better understanding. The link is at the top.

link to our favourite creatures photographed by Reuters photographers. They captured me, how about you?
