The daily shoot and depth of field

The National Olympic Stadium, also known as the Bird's Nest, is lit by coloured lights at the Olympic Green in Beijing July 23, 2008.

I elected to feature the 'birds nest' again, not because I think it is the best photo here but so you can compare it with the other photo I have already put up, the perspective for each is very similar but there are differences. Have a good look at both before making up your mind which you like best.
Understanding Depth of Field is very important both generally and specifically for the recent photography exercise I set you so as well as giving you a good selection of photographs I am also attaching the link above to one of my earliest posts on depth of field , it is not the only post I have done on this and I'll attach another one asap.
Meanwhile, here's wishing you great success with the exercise and with photography, generally, over the coming weekend.
In other words, happy shooting.
click here for the Reuters collection, if some of them distress you, move on quickly to the others, there are many interesting and valuable photos here, don't miss them because you don't like the first and photos are about the realities of life, not just pretty pictures, and it's wise to not be an Ostrich and hide your head in the sand. That way things can only get worse.
