Angles in Photography.
November 16th 2007 01:24
Angles in photography refer to the way the camera is held relative to the subject. Each one gives a singular angle or perspective.
Low camera angle involve the camera held lower than the subject, high camera angles represent the camera held higher then the subject and looking down.
The angles can also represent lateral positions, the camera being to the left, right or central of the subject and if one thinks of a circle, every angle of the circle can be represented in photography. Some angles would, of necessity, require specialised equipment to acquire the sought after image.
The skill and training of the photographer also comes into play.
The mood, character and composition and the angle of lighting can also be affected.
So I guess it's time now to have a look at a few images which will suggest to you how you can use this technique to produce your own better photographs or at least cut out some of the detail which you just do not want. The zoom can be beneficial in this way, too.
Don't forget that with Christmas coming up there will be great opportunities to impress your family and friends with your new skills. They'll love you for a good photograph.
With elections and Christmas there should be a lot going on for street photography. Try it. What do you have to lose?

I just love doing sea and harbour photography, spent 12 months with nearly every day taking pictures.
It was wonderful.
