China-Taiwan tensions
February 3rd 2010 03:39
I chose this picture because of its clarity of line, irrespective of the subject matter, which, of course is all about war, and the enormous impact of that bold large flare of light from the explosion. The photo has great impetus, and the light falls clearly into the rule of thirds. It tells of the impact of the explosion on the soldiers as they hold their ears, and has many features which signify war conditions, as well as being set appropriately in its background of green country imagery. If you would like to learn more about photography do click to see the other photos which are a good collection and the links to some of my hubs on photography tips.

I have put together a list of all of my photography hubs - not in any particular order. You will learn much by working through them one by one, and preferably one at a time.
Take the time to think about what you read and see and then think about your own photographs and how you can improve them.
Remember to take your camera with you, there are photographs out there just begging to be taken and in all kinds of weather and at different times of the day.
Those things will create different moods and different effects.
