New Budget Lens from Nikon

Budget lens

The AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens will be available beginning December 2007 at an estimated selling price of $199.

Nikon’s VR system affords users the ability to take pictures at shutter speeds up to three stops slower than they ordinarily could shoot without the image-degrading.

VR means Vibration Reduction - so you can still get quality pictures even if you are running and taking pictures.

Hi katyzzz,

This is a very interesting information. However I am thinking of getting a Cannon SLR (probably 2nd hand if I am able to) I don't think this lense would be compatible to other SLRs...

Nevertheless, good information. ^_^
