That is nothing new. If you really want to get your computer infected just click on "free games" or torrents. Videos are also a fine source of trojans. Now days you don't even have to open or click on anything to get infected just that first 1 second visit......is your anti-virus turned on?

Janice, it's good to have some fresh insight, sometimes it's damned if you do and damned if you don't. The stalkers are everywhere.

Porn sites are another source of trouble! I found a computer in the garbage a few years ago that was eaten up with spyware--DUH!!! It had about twenty porn sites BOOKMARKED! I ran an anti-spyware program for about a day and a half but finally got it going and used it for about three years!

Never thought about a using a used computer. But I am not surprised that it is about the same as using a used band aid or a used Kleenex. Yucky!

Porn = Virus 'cause if you get infected by a porn site who are you going to confess that to?

Isn't it strange how the government has all the time and energy in the world to mess with things that harm no one: Arizona immigration law comes to mind (If you disagree try holding a political protest as a non citizen or getting a job without papers in Mexico...). But no time to bring the hammer down on things that make everyone miserable like viruses and spam.

Here is what I would like, take all cops off of vice. I don't much care if some guy is getting an exotic disease from a prostitute. Give all those cops computers and tell them to go on line and get infected. Now, track down where all those viruses and spam came from and bury those virus making dudes under some jail. That, and not the government going trillions of dollars in debt when it finds out it can't really pay for health care, is what I really need. Shutting down spammers and virus spewers, without curtailing the internet activities of regular Joes, would do me some good. After all, I need to be able to do research on whether Pamela Sue Anderson has taken them out or put them back in this week, without having the feds confiscating my computer...

A marvellous speech Michael, bound to be an election winner, well said and well done.
