Reflections

A tree is reflected in stagnant water on the river bed of the half-empty Chadwick Lake, an artificial lake and irrigation system with a series of dams, in central Malta January 7, 2010. At this time of year, the lake is normally a rushing torrent of water, but while most of the rest of Europe is enduring freezing weather, Malta is enjoying one of its warmest and driest winters on record.
