Prize winning photos - what is special about them?

This is a great experience for you and it helps improve your photography skills.
Each of these photos has something very special about it and they are analyzed by expert photographers, but before looking at their assessments do have a really good look at the photos first and see if you can do your own analysis and see what each has that is special about it.
You are entitled to think differently to the experts but I think you'll find the experts really understand the elements of exceptional photography.
By looking at each photo first, and spending some time doing so, you will develop your skills better and learn to think like a photographer.
I feel sure these comments, the photos themselves and the expert view, will set you off with a good start to either taking better photos or being able to appreciate good photos more.
