I just want to take simple landscapes - you do?

You should have been inspired by yesterday's post on Landscape photography from the BBC, so it might be a good idea if you have a look over it again. Be prepared to experiment and you really should find that your work improves.
Wouldn't you like to be just that little bit better. Instead of just shooting what you have in front of you, do it from on top or below or from the side, or zoom in on some special features such as chimneys or tree trunks or bark or take a wide angle and then a close up.
Whatever you do, you need to have your equipment with you and some comfortable walking shoes, some water and a sandwich and perhaps some fruit, that way you can wander around in the middle of nowhere and circulate to your heart's content.
Remember professional photographers throw out much of what they shoot, so be prepared for some rejects.
Don't disregard anything that comes into view, it just might yield a good photo or two, take plaques and sign posts and gates and fences for unusual effects and to remind you of your journey.
Have fun with your camera - it's your life.
