Germany commemorates the 70th anniversary of "Kristallnacht" (Night of Broken Glass), when Jews were murdered and thousands of their synagogues and shops were destroyed in organized anti-Jewish riots.

Check this out...
There are two things I've never done but should, is visit a concentration camp and the Viet Nam Wall in Washington D.C. but, knowing myself, I'd be mentally out of it for a month. Too much to cope with. This is enough!

Yes, James, I know how you feel, what worries me is the older ones remember and younger ones dismiss. It is a worry. We often don't learn much from history, unfortunately.

True. My daughter, a high school senior, is totally clueless bout WWII. She had to do a paper a while back about the war's influence. I was just speaking off the top of my head and we did her paper in an afternoon. I wasn't even trying to do her paper but, the points I covered were better than anything in her notes.
