Something of a comparison look at different cameras!

This post is to give you an idea of what you can achieve with different cameras. It's just intended to give you a view of things and no details of settings, camera model etc are available but you need to start somewhere.

It should help you decide what you want to achieve and the type of camera which will give you the images you want.

Naturally, the cell phone camera is expected to give you the most limited range, but you may have your own ideas about such things.

So to get your photographic thoughts going just have a look at these.

Katyzzz,

~Ditto~

That first image is almost out of natural phase with reality, isn;t it? The sea actually looks flat and two dimensional - going up the page, instead of into the distance.

I used to have an Olympus 35 mm before digital came along and I can't afford another good camera.... but looking at these for clarity and image quality, I may well look towards the Nikon range, when and if I ever get there?

Thank you.

Lilla ...

Mis, well said.

Lilla, what you say is just so right, especially the cell phone camera shot, you have good eyes and good perception, but no doubt whoever took the shot thought it was great.

I think I'd go for the Nikon (I have a very expensive one myself) but Canon is a big favourite with many and you can bet there'll be many out there ready and willing to knock Nikon off its perch.

I've seen some good shots with other brands but a lot depends on the price you pay, but keep your eyes open for the competition.

Must be a shame to have a perfect shot in front of you, but only a crappy phone camera to capture it with.

They are getting better all the time though. I remember the first digital camera we had at work. It was expensive, a massive, heavy thing but the image quality was awful.
