How To Take Good Photos: buildings: clouds

White, fluffy clouds are one of the best accompaniments to photographs of buildings, as seen in this shot from Manchester.
Use a polarizing filter suitable for your camera to deepen the blues of the sky at an angle from the sun.
Try a contre-jour ('against the day') shot by pointing at the sun. Wait for a cloud to move until the sun just peeps past the clouds, giving a burst of light. Do not look directly at the sun with unprotected eyes - use the camera's LCD screen.
Take your camera with you and keep trying, you'll learn!
