A Nepalese Hindu devotee holds an offering to the Sun god as she performs a ritual at the Bagmati River during the Chhath festival in Katmandu, Nepal, Nov. 1, 2011. During Chhath, an ancient Hindu festival, rituals are performed to thank the Sun god for sustaining life on Earth.
