Greek presidential guards perform ceremonial duties in front of the Greek Parliament, while a no-confidence debate is being held inside by lawmakers in Athens on Nov. 3 2011. Greece's embattled Prime Minister George Papandreou says he has invited opposition conservatives to join talks on a major European debt deal, ignoring calls to hold an early general election. Papandreou insisted he never would have put the question of whether Greece stays in the joint euro currency to a popular vote.
