I have chosen this one for the dramatic use of black, it's great application of the rule of thirds, the sartorial elegance of the subject, who is a Prime Minister, which, of itself makes a good subject, his dark polka dot tie contrasts with the tailored image of his suit, his immaculate hair, the matching shirt - to the polka dots colour - the eyes closed and his natural expression attract attention, as do his closed eyes and his finger position as he almost becomes an abstract for Rodin's "the thinker"
Another choice is 1 for its political statement, it's flags and people alignment on a faultless street, showing no unrest, and, of course the symbolism of the Olympic flag and the contrast of the grimly faced soldier with the smiling free faces behind.
NO 2 for its plain beige colourings, its framing of those arrested by the bodies of two soldiers, and the subdued central figures humbled as they kneel down, the tranquil colouring adding contrast to the perceived dangers of the situation. But ,of course, being the actual colourings of the area.
8 for its position and its subject, badminton being a lesser known sport, contrasting with the usual placement of a tennis ball.
9 for its political overtones, contrast between mother and baby and the caring hand on the baby's head, and good use of rule of thirds.
10 because she is so beautiful, as is her award, her placement and her magnificent hair.
19 for the beauty of the building, its strategic framing and the silhouetted figures.
Of course, there are others but these are the ones I have selected to highlight the photographic skills.
