A view shows the illuminated war memorial during "Vijay Diwas" or victory day celebration in Drass, about 160 km (99 miles) east of Srinagar, July 26, 2010. The Indian army commemorates "Vijay Diwas" annually in memory of more than 500 soldiers who were killed eleven years ago during a war with Pakistan. The war took place in the mountains of the Kargil and Drass sectors, at the Line of Control or a military ceasefire line, which divided Kashmir between the two south Asian rivals.
