Female circumcision - it's graphic, it's awful, it's cruel and no privacy
December 17th 2008 19:29
Prisca Korein, a 62-year-old traditional surgeon, displays razor blades she uses to perform female genital mutilation on teenage girls from the Sebei tribe in Bukwa district, about 357 kms (214 miles) northeast of Kampala, December 15, 2008.

Maybe some of the writers/philosophers/humanists will write a blog on it.

Ok, I don't understand why they need to do this circumcision?

It is banned in most places throughout the world and sometimes the girls experience horrendous infections and can be affected for life, it takes away their sexuality and depraved men continue to expect it, exercising no control on their own behaviour.
There are also some horrendous acts performed on young women by men, including relatives to try to cure their AIDS.
There is a movement throughout the world to oulaw these practices, supported by many women who care for how these girls are treated.
The woman pictured looks evil to me.
There is absolutely no justification for performing this primitive, barbaric rite.
