Does one man’s trash becomes another man’s treasure ..?

The photos captured of your memorable moments may last a legend but not your camera!
Is it that time of your camera's life-cycle..? Do you want to upgrade it..? Well what's stopping you...
Be it conventional or digital, the product is bound to be ‘old’ or obsolete eventually. Nothing could prevent that. So what do we do with the old, outdated cameras?
A camera would become obsolete not based on its ‘age’ but also based on technological advancement. Such as increased mega-pixels, better zoom range, more / advanced features than your current one - are a few to be identified.
Don't throw away your old conventional / digital cameras. Here are some ways to get some use out of it:
Tip #1:
Keep your old digital camera as a backup in case your main digital camera fails.
Tip #2:
Give your old digital camera to your parents or friends to introduce them to the world of digital photography (be prepared to spend sometime showing them how everything works!) Remember charity begins at home!
Tip #3:
Donate your digital camera to charity or a school (this may be tax deductible - contact your accountant and/or charity for information).
Tip #4:
Try to upgrade your digital camera. If you couldn't sell the digital camera, if it is in good condition, on an auction site such as eBay or sell in your newspaper classifieds.
Tip #5:
Check with your vendor or the vendor websites for any possible trade-ins.
The motto should be “ Upgrade * trade-in * donate * recycle ” responsibly!!!
Some of the websites listed below look into the issues of trade-in. Take a tour of it
