From Daily Mail:
See Live Night & Day's pick of the best instant cameras. POLAROID 1200SI, £105. One-click pictures are a breeze, while manual controls, light meter and sonar range finder offer versatility. The large format (4x4.1in) prints are clear and colour is good.
FUJI MP-100 MOBILE PRINTER, £100. Instant printer that links to a camera mobile phone. Connects via infrared. The 3.5in x 2in prints are sharp and colourful, although quality is limited by the resolution of your phone camera.
POLAROID IZONE 550, £99. Polaroid's sleek and chic digital camera that works in tandem with the portable printer, the PP46D (see next). Has LCD screen and video capability. Five-megapixel shots more detailed than traditional Polaroids. Print quality with the PP46D is superb.
POLAROID PP46D PORTABLE PRINTER, £100. Bring Polaroid's legendary speed to your digital camera. Prints direct from memory card to 4in x 6in Polaroid film in two minutes. Plug this into a PC to spruce up your snaps using imaging software. Colours are rich and the contrast is precise
POLAROID ONE 600 JOBPRO, £40. Toughest instant camera on test, with rubberised case and viewfinder dust shield. The choice for outdoor snaps. Exposure control for better pictures, adjustable to suit individual conditions. Redeye reduction for portrait shots. Auto flash gives fantastic results in poor lighting
FUJIFILM INSTAX 200, £30. Large and chunky, but still easy to pick up and shoot with. Rugged construction and straightforward controls makes it perfect for family use. Flash is built in. No zoom or autofocus. Pictures are large - 4in x 2.5in - and, for the money, superb.
BEST BUY: POLAROID ONE600 ULTRA, £25. Superb close-up snaps at a bargain price. Folding down to the size of a Filofax, the Ultra is a competent compact unbeatable at close distance. Photos always sharp, even from as close as two feet - unheard of for a fixed-focus camera
POLAROID IZONE 200, £16. Compact enough to fit in your back pocket. Produces tiny, sticky-backed photos -perfect for children. Auto flash with ready light is standard, and automatic focus. Pictures passport-sized and quality isn't great. Uses new iZone 200 film.
BEST BUY. FUJIFILM PRO INSTAX 500AF, £40. Aimed at professionals. Offers autofocus, LCD display, manual shutter control and auto flash for perfect lighting. Takes large format pictures (4in x 2.5in). Use with wide-picture format film for impressive landscapes.
POLAROID JOYCAM, £10. Takes credit card-sized pictures on the cheap. Comes with built-in flash. Plastic casing is tough enough to survive a heavy knock. Colours over-saturated and fixed lens is poor for close-up shots - but great for party pictures.
My comments under the pictures are not to be taken too seriously but you should be guided by each review.
But if any of these suit your purposes for any particular occasion, go ahead and do it. They seem to offer something for some people otherwise there would not be so many of them, if at all.
