All around Canon for less than $1000
December 22nd 2007 22:10
By keeping the price under $1,000, Canon ensures the popularity of its Digital Rebel line.
This camera provides really good value. For those who want to set their camera and for those who want auto control.
The New Canon Rebel XT (Canon EOS 350D) is an 8.0 Megapixel (APS-C CMOS sensor) DSLR with a 3 frames per second shooting rate (14 frame bursts) which Canon says will take over from previous Rebel releases.
It has the same DIGIC II image processor of found in the high end professional 'D-series' of DSLRs.
The next three photos have been taken with the camera and not sharpened up in any way.
This might be just what you're wanting for that last Christmas Gift.

Oh, have you heard of the Praktica brand? It's German, I bought a 10 megapixels model while travelling in Taiwan, the zoom is great and the camera itself is light with a good screen, it cost (after conversion) something like $260Aus!

I came across an old Pentax something or other up in the cupboard recently. What a piece of garbage.
It was a decent enough camera in its day - but it's day has long gone now.
Have a great Christmas katyzzz.
