A frog he would a camouflagin' go.
The CNN shot is for a fund raiser, notice the focus is well and truly on the dog and those behind are clearly out of focus and the buildings slope, obviously a very narrow depth of field but the photo does its job and meets its objective, always bear that in mind when doing your own shots, the main feature is the photo and what purpose it serves not on the precise use of the camera's tools.

By contrast we have a green ? that is barely there so well is he camouflaged and the skill of the photographer picks that up, warts and all.
So the two themes of the day are very simple and notice how the photographer has set his subject to the right of the frame with a narrow depth of field so the image is right on. A central ? would have been so less interesting.
