African hedgehog babies
Five baby African hedgehogs are held by a worker in the Children's Zoo at the San Diego Zoo on July 10, 2008. These little creatures use their spines to protect themselves from predators in the wild. They roll themselves up in a complete ball, with even their nose tucked in, and present only the sharp spines to any animal trying to eat them. (UPI Photo/Ken Bohn/San Diego Zoo)
