Aztec dancer Ehecatonatihu greets a friend while carrying a statue of Mexico's patron saint, the Virgin of Guadalupe, to an Aztec altar outside the Basilica of Guadalupe during the religious icon's feast day in Mexico City, on Dec. 12, 2011. An estimated 6 million Catholic faithful celebrated the cultural image, also known as La Morenita, with pilgrimages to the basilica. Pope Benedict XVI announced that he will travel to Cuba and Mexico before Easter next year, during a Mass in St. Peter's Basilica honoring the Virgin of Guadalupe.
