An employee of Hesse State Office for the Preservation of Historical Monuments holds a bronze shoe, in Wiesbaden March 16, 2010. The shoe is part of an approximately 2,000 years old bronze and gold statue of a horse rider which was found in an excavation site in Waldgirmes some 50 kilometres (20 miles) north of Frankfurt.
